The London Sea Life Aquarium


The London Aquarium appointed us to design a new theme for their shop, to provide contrast to the predominantly blue composition throughout the tour. Using elements of existing artwork, we created a submarine theme with port holes to incorporate cartoon characters. The artwork was applied to walls, POS units and flags. Speech bubbles were strategically positioned to allow visibility during times of peak customer traffic. We also designed the theme for their capture area, including a green screen, which is digitally replaced by a themed underwater scene on the printed photo. This project was produced on behalf of an agency.

Another task from the Aquarium was to create signs for display throughout the attraction to promote the additional activities available. The capture areas provide a personal experience, where guests are photographed within themed areas. Customers can purchase photo books at the end of the tour. For the signage, we managed a photoshoot where models were strategically positioned and later, using Photoshop, merged into the underwater scenes. Our design both promotes the capture areas and presents the exciting backdrops for guest photos. As a result of the signage, the Aquarium shop reported an increase in engagement and photo book sales.
